The UAA (United Assassins Association) once just an elaborate con set up to make money off of blood-thirsty misfits, has become a world-wide phenomenon. With televised Assassin battles, the role of killer has become a real money making career.
Everyone, from muscle heads, to librarians can partake in the action- for a price.
An Assassin is nothing without their agent, of coarse. They're the real brains behind the action.
As of right now, there are fifty ranked assassins in the UAA. 50 being the lowest rank and 1 being the highest.
Can you make it and become Number One? Or will you fall and be forgotten?

Only one way to find out.
You ready?

No More Heroes- <Fight to the Death> 266083-bigthumbnail

The tall brunette sat legs-crossed at the bar. In one hand a long cigarette burned seductively between two thin fingers, in the other was a glass of rich red wine. It was easy to tell from her perfectly tailored pencil-skirt and crisp, low-cut blouse, that she knew how to make money.
Her deep amber eyes scanned the scum of the bar, looking for her next target, until it fell on the TV screen hanging over the liquor bar. Her plump red lips curled into a smile as she watched the latest death match. Rank 33 had challenged 32 to a match. She did not bother to learn names anymore, at least not for anyone ranked below a 20. They died far too quickly to matter and the ones who didn't, well, then she would learn their names.
The announcer gave the play-by-play of every action, but she wasn't listening.
She wanted blood.
33 was a buff dark man wielding a ridiculously long katana, and she couldn't help but think he was compensating for something. His opponent however, could not have been anymore different. From the girls pink sneakers and curly blond ponytail, she looked like the kinda kid you would find hanging out at your local mall, not fighting to the death in an arena.
It became very clear, very quickly, that size was not important in this match. Although 33 was big, he was also slow, and 32... well, even with only two short swords she was getting the better of him.
"This won't take very long..."
And she was right. After only five minutes, 32 had decapitated the lower ranked assassin.
The tall woman took another long drag from her cigarette, absolutely relishing the sight of the blood spewing from 33s neck. She licked her lips slowly, deliberately.
There was only so much blood in one person...
Thankfully there was another match coming up soon.

No More Heroes- <Fight to the Death> Ffa96a4787ded49443a42f35c7a411e212254850

The winter frost always touched the eyes of Thorfinn Karlsefni, the last heir to the Jomsvikings bloodline. He wore tan furs and his blonde hair was in a mess, though he bathed everyday it seems his hair was always messy. In his hands were daggers, sharp and ready to kill. The dagger in his right hand was his father's. The blade had small Norse runes etched in it that Thorfinn could not read. The handle was pure blade and seemed to be wrapped. The dagger was a family heirloom dating back to the 11th Century AD. The dagger in his let hand was some piece of shit he bought in Norway a few years ago. It was a fine blade, no doubt, but compared to his fathers sword it was shit.

"Ya gonna attack 'r wut?!" Yelled a very rude Englishman in front of him. Thorfinn's opponent,Number 45 was an ugly man. Bald tall and thin, holding a sword in his hands.
Thorfinn did not respond, which angered 45.
"OI! Ya hear me right, kid? I says you can attack first! You but a kid wit knives and me being a gentleman 'n all"
Gentleman? Thorfinn hoped to Odin he was kidding. Well the bald bastard DID insist....

Thorfinn calculated the situation quickly. 45 was less than 10 feet away, which was perfect distance for Thorfinn to attack, but why waste the effort so early on, and on a piece of trash no less?
"Thas it! I'm tired o' waiten'!"
Oh perfect.

45 charged like a dumbass and in an instant Thorfinn was next to him with his father's dagger through the man's throat.
"Regret it in the afterlife" Thorfin said coldly before ripping the blade out of the man's throat, slicing his neck in half.

Glaring his golden eyes at the man before walking away he said, "What the hell is so great about this battle stuff anyway?"

Fiona tucked a lock of dark hair behind her ear as she watched the match.
Or lack-there-of.
It was over as soon as it started, and the kid with the daggers was the new ranked 45 assassin.
She took a slow sip of wine, feeling a little disappointed.
She had hoped for blood- at least more blood than this.
And somehow... it wasn't even really the lack of blood that surprised her.
It was the boys coolness. He was so calm, calculating.
He didn't waste time shouting insults or delivering cool lines...
No...
He was good.
A little too good to be ranked 45.
She made note of the boys name,
and for the first time in years, reminded herself to remember a rookie.

Thorfinn walked out of the arena and into the city. His next match would not be for many hours, so he decided to look around the city to kill time, no pun intended. His mind reveled as he let his feet lead him. He thought about his father's death and the man responsible. Arther Castus was nothing more than a thug back then, but now he climbed the ranks. He was now in the top five assassins. Though, Thorfinn did not know what number he was. He would damn sure find out.

His feet led him into a bar. He was not old enough to drink and did not even enjoy alcohol, but he decided to sit down anyway. On the TV was the match that came right after his. Thorfinn did not pay attention to the glares.

The tall brunette threw her head back and drained the rest of her wine in a very unladylike fashion, then she winked at the bar tender and shook the glass flirtatiously. She grinned wickedly as he blushed and tripped over himself to refill her glass.
She wasn't out to get drunk, but she simply couldn't say no to red wine. Her one weakness, really.
The next match was on, but by now she had almost lost interest. She was waiting for too long.
She had just lost her last client to a match. Not much of a loss. He only got to rank 27, but still, she needed to find some other sap to make her cash off of.
Ever since Travis Touchdown left the ranks... it's been so hard to find a good killer.
She took a long drag from her cigarette as she glanced carelessly to the door. Someone had just come in...
She raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Perfect..." she breathed letting out a slow puff of smoke.
She knew right away who it was. She had just seen him waste the rank 45 Assassin.
She snuffed out her cigarette, uncrossed her legs and strode across the bar, swaying her hips.
Money was attractive, and she knew just how to attract it.

Name- Kibeth Umbrabattuo
Age- 30-ish
Gender- Female
UAA Rank- 50
Personality- Kibeth is quiet and usually keeps to herself, but she will talk if someone else is willing to initiate the conversation.
History- Kibeth grew up in a world very unlike her current one. As a young child, she was admitted into a monastery to learn the ways of the Assassin. In her land, the term ‘Assassin’ was roughly equivalent to current ‘Ninja.’ This being said, Assassins weren’t seen as a one-man death squad, but rather a keeper of the peace who worked to harmonize the relations of opposing factions. When she graduated from the monastery, she was one of a select few people who would eventually save the Empire from an ancient evil. For a time she was celebrated as a hero. Eventually she became an obscure name in some texts only to fade away into oblivion. Ten years after she helped save the Empire, a new emperor took reign and turned her mercantile country into an isolationist country. Faced with the decision to be executed by opposing the new emperor, conform to the isolationism, or flee the country, she bought a small boat and set sail to the west, never to be seen by her friends or country-mates again.
Weapon- Two hooked daggers along with the various other daggers on her person
Appearance- Kibeth

Thorfinn noticed the woman looking at him. It was not hard to ignore her. Though she was indeed sexy, Thorfinn never had time for romance of any sort and he sure as fuck was not going to start now. Not when he is so close to getting revenge. He sat there silent. No one approached him at all. Maybe it was his glare or something else...No matter, this is how he liked it. He felt his stomach growl and he let out a small "humph" in frustration. He had not eaten since yesterday...He didn't know if bars sold food...

Kibeth stood in the ring with awe. She had still not grown used to the artificial light they used in this country. She was told that they ran off of electricity, even though she had not once seen an air elementalist powering the ‘lights.’ She looked at one of the many boxes that were pointed at her. ‘Video cameras,’ they were called. She still didn’t quite understand how they worked. When she had fought in the arenas in Cantha it was mostly against prisoners condemned to death or against Kurzicks who wanted control of the Jade Quarry. Then thousands of people cheered on from the sidelines, very much unlike the dark room hidden behind the bright lights of the arena.

Her attention was called back to the fight as the bell rang to begin. She took a few seconds to view her opponent before she acted. He wore a neon green jumpsuit and carried a glowing weapon. Bah. These people know nothing of the way of the Assassin. The man yelled out as he began to run towards her. She crouched down and touched the ground. She disappeared for a brief moment and appeared in the charging man’s shadow. From here, she delivered a palm strike to his spine between the shoulder blades. With his vertebrae out of place, he crumpled to the floor with his next step. Kibeth slowly stepped forward and produced one of the daggers from her thigh straps. Kneeling down over the painlessly injured man, she placed the dagger between two of his cervical vertebrae. “Farewell, warrior, may we meet again in the Mists.” With that said, she ended his life painlessly, and due to the thin span of her dagger, bloodlessly.

She stood up as the announcer astoundedly told the viewers of a record time fight. She paid the man no attention as she approached the closest camera to get a better look at the strange device.

Fiona locked eyes with the man, but was quite put off with his cold nature. That didn't stop her from trying though.
Usually, she didn't have to try this hard. Usually, people came to her. She was a "professional", after all.
Perhaps he already has an agent, she thought as she walked past him.
She heard the low grumble of the mans stomach and she got an idea.
Only one way to find out.
She walked back to the bar, and was greeted instantly by the bar tender.
"Hey, love?" she asked with a wink, "See that boy over there? You know, the one on that was on the telly? See, he's an old friend of mine. Do me a favor darling, and bring him a little somethin' to snack on."
She didn't have to ask twice, she simply reached into her cleavage, slapped some cash on the bar, and he was off.
"Oh, and while your at it... some more wine would be lovely."
And she didn't have to wait. Before she knew it, she had another glass of the blood red liquid, and the bar tender had left to drop off a sandwich to her new potential client.
"From the lady," he said quickly, before scurrying back behind the bar.

Thorfinn looked from the sandwich to the woman and raised an eyebrow. "....Thanks..." He was planning to get something with more... protean, but this will do for now. As he ate the sandwich slowly, he thought about WHY the woman gave him food. Was she hitting on him? He supposed it was likely...He heard of people who liked younger mates....Lolicons,the Japanese called them. Or so he thinks. Thorfinn finished off the sandwich and stood up.

OR She could be one of the Agents he heard the other assassin's talked about. He had never needed anyone telling him what to do,nor did he want it. This woman will have to try damn hard to convince him to need her the chaperon him. Thorfinn walked up to the bar to her left.
"What do you want, woman?" he growled.

The agent smirked at the mans quick response, but was, on the inside a little annoyed with his lack of gratitude.
"Oooh," she purred pulling out another cigarette, "Straight to the point. I like that."
She leaned over the bar for the bar tender to light her up and took a short drag, blowing smoke seductively at the poor soul behind the counter, like a kiss. She watched the bar tender blush but she carelessly waved him away. His usefulness had ended.
"Well then, I'll be blunt as well."
She turned back to the boy and crossed her legs.
"You have no agent. Wanna know how I know?"
She grinned and waved her cigarette at his outfit.
"This is how I know. Look at you. Nobody's been taking care of you properly."
She took yet another drag and smirked.
"If your going to be a part of the UAA, you need an agent to make sure your ready for your matches. You know? Set you up for the matches, Clean up for you after... call in the official report so you can officially get to number one. Your obviously new, so let me explain how this works. Not every match will be on TV, ya know. After rank 40,things get much more serious. You'll find that the better assassins are more... quiet. And without your agent, you have no evidence that you killed your target."

Well that was a surprise! Her points were all valid, not something Thorfinn had expected. He didn't know...or rather he did not bother to learn WHY the agents existed. Turns out they are damn useful.
"...Fine. Do what you want. Just know two things: I am here to kill Arther Castus and whoever else gets in my way, including you, and you have no right to comment on how I dress."

Fiona raised an eyebrow and snuffed out her cigarette. With this attitude she was considering just not taking on this client. But business is business. And the kid was showing potential.
"Well, aren't we feisty," she almost hissed, "Yes yes. Don't get in your way. mm hm. Got it."
She uncrossed her legs and leaned forward with a wicked smile on her face.
"Arther Castus, mmm? The rank 4 assassin?"
She laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Sweet heart, it'll take more than a cool I-don't-care attitude to get to him. So!"
She stood up and handed him her card.
"I suggest you hit the gym. Here's my card. Give me a call at this number. I will expect $5,000 wired into my account by tomorrow, so I can set up your next match."

Thorfinn glared at her and said before she left, "Check your account tonight". He departed from the bar a few minutes after his new Agent did. She was rather high on herself, wasn't she? He had seen others like her. She would end up like them: dead in a street. Killed by gangster, drugs or an assassin. Well, no matter.

Thorfinn went to the nearest phone booth and called his bank in Switzerland, "This is Thorfinn Karlsefeni. I want you to transfer Ten Thousand to the account I specify. Get it done NOW"

Fiona smirked as the boy left.
That's what I like. Efficient and to the point.
She went out of the bar and caught a taxi to the arena.
Might as well catch a match or two while I'm at it.
She stepped out of the taxi when it stopped in front of the stadium, and payed the driver.
"the boy had better pay me, or else I'll have to cancel my vacation."
She flipped out her phone and dialed.
"'Ello? This is Fiona Grey. I have a new client I would like to register and... I would also like to set up his next match."

Now that the payment is done, all Thorfinn had to do was wait. Boredom set in quick, so he decided to head back to his hotel to sleep. His room was on the fifth floor of a nice hotel. His room was equally nice, with furnishing like a laz-e-boy recliner and a sofa. His bedroom was in a separate area. It had a queen size bed and a nice plasma screen TV, though Thorfinn would never use it. He took his shoes off and took his daggers out of their front and back sheath. Laying sprawled on the bed, he though of his family and of life before the murder. Eleven years of battles molded the eight year old into a deadly warrior...

The tall brunette watched only a few rounds, before the arena closed for the day.
It didn't seem to matter how much blood shot out of one body, it was still not enough. In the end, she found herself getting rather disappointed as she left.
As she reached her apartment on the top floor of a large luxurious building, her phone rang.
""Ello?"
She grinned wickedly as she set down her purse and started getting ready for bed.
"A match? Tomorrow? mm hm...."
She laughed loudly.
"Oh! That sounds absolutely terrifying. How marvelous... Yes, yes. I shall inform my client right away."
She hung up and dialed her client. She considered checking her account, but decided against it. What was the point? Even if he didn't pay her, he was still going to die. And perhaps he would quench her thirst in the process...

No More Heroes- <Fight to the Death> Zjxlu

Thorfinn had a strange dream. He had never had a dream such as this. He was a farmhand or a slave growing wheat. Thorfinn never farmed in his entire life. He was a little older, not much, but enough to grow his hair out enough to bunch into a disorderly tail. He had a short goatee as well. The farm was not modern; it seemed to be from the middle ages, though he recognized that it as in the Jutland of Denmark. He had a friend, a fellow slave. He was a kind man and about his own age. Thorfinn spoke to this man frequently and learned many things about farming through him. He was Thorfinn's first and only friend.

The wheat in their small part of the farm had grown strong, though they were still short. Thorfinn was overjoyed by this. Though they were slaves, life was good. The servants, farmers who also worked the land near then, however were less than happy. They looked down on slaves and felt that they should not be able to grow crop and become free. The men destroyed the crop that Thorfinn and his friend worked so hard to grow.

Thorfinn woke up with a start. The leader of the servants had said something so evil that it set him off. Thorfinn had broken the man's jaw. A farming tool smashed him in the back of the head and woken him. Thorfinn was dumbfounded for a moment. The dream was mostly peaceful, save for the end. A part of him wished it were true....
Thorfinn went to the mirror. He was still himself. Still a victim of the modern age.
Something told him he had a battle to fight soon.

Fiona waited patiently for her client to answer his phone, but when she got no answer and instead was asked to leave a message she got a little irritated.
"Sleeping beauty, it's time to wake up! 'Ey! Don't you know that when your Agent calls, it's polite to pick up the god damn phone?"
She bit her bottom lip for a moment to calm herself.
"No matter. I'm sure you will learn your lesson. I have set up your next match. It is tomorrow. Call me back for the location. Heh... hope your not afraid of needles!"
And with that, she hung up.

Thorfinn glared as he heard the message. She could stand to be less of a bitch. When the message ended he picked up the phone and hit 'redial'
"It's me. Where is the match being held?"

----The Next Day----
Thorfinn walked to the location. He had his daggers in their sheaths and he brought ten throwing knives of various types. He walked up to Fiona when he saw her, not saying a word.

Fiona stepped out of the limo and waited beside it. Up ahead was the hospital. It was full of people, very innocent people. She wondered if her Client would have enough nerve to walk into the hospital and fight one of the Nurses.
"Good morning, Sunshine," she greeted him cheerfully, "Your target is inside. If you want to do it quietly, simply go up to the front desk, and the receptionist should point you in the right direction... or... you could simply run inside, start slicing people up..."
She laughed She pulled out a map from her cleavage.
"Its a map. Your target should be in the Morgue."
