Kingdom Hearts: To the Bitter End

Post  Cracklord on Sun Feb 20, 2011 9:50 pm

Once, long ago, all people lived united within one world, their lives filled and graced by the presence of light. There was no want, for we were all sheltered, and everyone was complete. But it was not to last.
At some point a crime was committed, too terrible to contemplate, that even now the effects of which are being felt. All that can be said of the precise nature of this crime is that as a result, all the worlds are all slowly dying. The sin was the precursor to the keyblade war, the Keyblade wielders of the Light and the Darkness clashing with each other to control Kingdom Hearts, the heart of the world.
The war itself was so massive in scope, that it tore apart creation, and the world was divided, split asunder. And so it was that that the darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts, consuming all within them. It covered everything, and the world disappeared. In the depths of the shadow, a terrible being arose, The Nightmare, that sought to consume all worlds and drag them beyond the reach of even the darkness, into the nothingness between, and silencing the universe. With the worlds champions having destroyed each other, none remained to face it, and the end of all things seemed inevitable. But just when all hope seemed lost, a warrior of light arose to face it, wielding a blade like no other, and after a grueling battle amongst the ruins of the worlds, vanquished it, casting it's broken body back into the darkness, where it remains to this day.
The deed complete, he vanished, leaving the worlds lost and apart, alone in the darkness like shards of a broken mirror. But small fragments of the light survived in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children rebuilt the lost world as best they could, creating the world we live in now.
The worlds are still scattered, divided from each other. But the true light sleeps, deep within the darkness.

The war with the Heartless has become a full scale war on multiple fronts, as the shadows pour into world after world and consume them, growing still, while what little remains of the heroes can only watch in impotence. Something has changed. They have gone berserk without a clear controller, and are no longer working for anything except destruction.
One by one those that dare to resist have been cut down, many of them dying in a legendary manner of self-sacrifice, but it has never been enough, for they can't be everywhere at once, and the heartless are everywhere, growing steadily in power and gathering strength. Soon they will be irresistible. Even now, they are too strong to drive back.
Only one hope remains, take out all their leaders in a single attack before it is too late.

The last hope:
All video game characters are welcome to take part in this, though try characters that fit thematically, and are not too overpowered (a little overpowered is fine). Naturally, Final Fantasy characters and the like work best, but there is room for characters from everything from Nintendo to Koei to Command and Conquer to the Soul Calibur series. Don't play Pac-man or a character like that, we both know it won't work very well.
Now, this game will take place over several worlds as you hunt down the organization and kill the leaders, while dodging masses of Heartless and other soldiers they throw at you, in order to save the multiverse (this premise has never been used in a game before, and never will be again).
I was not planning on allowing the members of the Organization to be played, but if you make a strong enough case I suppose I can make an exception.

Rules:
1. Telling a good story is more important then winning. Keep that in mind. And no God-moding with other people's characters, though a little is acceptable when dealing with NPC's.
2. No custom characters, and no Mary Sues or the male equivalent. Furthermore, keep the number of superheroes to a minimum, m'kay.
3. No OOC fighting.
4. Never break character under any circumstances.
5. I don't want more then ten or so characters, so no more then two each.
6. I reserve the right to change the rules.
7. As everything takes place in a shared universe, strange things are going to happen.
8. If you're not having fun, tell me so I can do something about it.

The Council

Master Xehanort

One of the true Keyblade Masters, Master Xehanort has shown himself time and time again to be a cunning, callous, and pragmatic being with the sole goal of merging with Kingdom Hearts. To this end, he is willing to put whatever he pleases on the line or destroy anything in his way, and formed the council to give him the influence he needs to reach it. He has no intention of sharing power whatsoever.

His age often causing opponents to underestimate him, Master Xehanort is an extremely skilled Keyblade Master and magic user, however in light of his advancing age he has begun to weaken, and therefore has need of a new 'vessel' in order to survive to see his plans reach fruition. After his eventual failure in regards to Terra, he has decided on Zexion as his next host.

But Xehanort, for all his scheming, his knowledge and his is but an unwitting pawn, although he does not know it. Who's pawn, and to what end?

Zexion Dorene

One of three survivors of the original organization, Zexion has become increasingly unbalanced. Having returned from the darkness by unknown means, he has come back wrong, despite living again he has no light in his heart whatsoever, and his personality is no different from as it was as a Nobody, if not worse. How this came to be is a mystery.

His power has grown considerably, however, and he is now approaching arcmages levels of power. Most of all, he has come to a conclusion that escaped his predecessors, and rather then trying to increase his own power or knowledge, he is simply trying to conquer. He is the leader of the council, as his teacher has no interest in it.

His desire for multiversal domination comes more for a desire to do something with the time he has left then any real ambition, but nonetheless he is totally and completely committed to it. Despite this, he is rarely involved himself anymore, leaving them to squabble for scraps while he helps himself to the lions share. He is quite aware of his eventual fate, and that only serves to further push him to extremes.

He has has a mile wide streak of sadism, and takes far more pleasure crushing someone then can be considered healthy. He enjoys torture, and when he gets angry has a tendency to swear. Indeed, he comes of as almost childish, though he is cunning, callous, and pragmatic, and aware that things are beyond his control, so intends to wring as much as he can from it before going down with his ship. He has no respect for his comrades, and uses them shamelessly, creating serious resentment in them all. The only reason they have tolerated him thus far, despite his precarious position, is the realization that if he falls, so do they. He now wields a Keyblade in conjunction with his Lexicon, and has mastered black magic once far beyond him.

Xigbar

The only remnant of the original group aside from Zexion, he allowed Zexion to take over as leader, having no interest in it himself, despite being formerly the number two in the organization and having worked with Xehanort from the start. For the most part, he isn't interested in power or responsibility, preferring to drift and let other people sort that out. He relies heavily on instinct rather than on intelligence for both decision-making and fighting, making him adaptable and unpredictable, however it is this that has him so disconnected. He returned with Zexion, but unlike the younger nobody he exhibits no real personality change.

Xigbar has an attitude problem and a laid-back and cocky way of acting, however he is slipping, and has become increasingly unstable, to the point that his sanity is more and more up for the question. Frequently he becomes violent at the slightest provocation. He has always been a cold-blooded killer, capable of atrocities from which he feels nothing more then a craftsmans pleasure at a job well done, so this is not as unexpected as one would think, however it is more then a little terrifying.

He hunts heroes for sport, as Zexion ordered him to. Zexion recognized that if they weren't given an opportunity to gather, they wouldn't be a threat. Xigbar is just glad to have something to do that let's him do what he does.

Sephiroth

Sephiroth's personality is one of cold ruthlessness. He is very intelligent, and is respectful to those he deems worthy. He is confident to the point of arrogance, but as the strongest SOLDIER alive, it could easily be argued he has the right to be. He is always well-spoken and universally calm and collected, and always appearing in control. He can be frustrated and caught off his guard, but this rarely happens. Like Zexion, he has something of a messiah complex. Unlike Zexion, he is in a position to back it up.

Sephiroth is a master swordsman, wielding Mansume, a seven foot long Katana, and has superhuman strength, agility and reflexes. He is able to produce beams of energy by swinging his sword and can effortlessly cut through solid metal and concrete. Sephiroth has great magical abilities, he can fly, teleport, and attack directly with them. This ranges from tiny beams of fire to supernovas.

He does not bother to command anyone, leaving that to his other allies. Instead, he fights directly and uses his considerable skills supporting the armies of the others. However, he always keeps a few Heartless in reserve. His goals remain a mystery, however he seems to have little loyalty, indeed outright contempt for his immediate companions.

Diablo

Diablo, the Lord of Terror, is one of the three Prime Evils, directly bellow Chaos himself as multidimensional gods who rule Inferno. Summoned by the council, he gleefully threw himself into their work, however it is a mistake to believe they control him. He will not suffer to be the minion of anyone, least of all Zexion.

Indeed, once they can no long provide distractions, he intends to show them just what it costs to try to command one of the lords of hell.

He commands armies of demons and war machines built in the darkness of Inferno out of the screaming souls of the tormented, as well as the loyalty of his two brothers and his many underlings.

Nightmare (Soul Edge)

Nightmare is the living incarnation of the cursed sword, Soul Edge. Originally forged by human hands, at first Soul Edge was just an ordinary sword, but after being bathed in blood and hatred countless times, the sword turned into a demonic weapon and gained a wicked soul called Inferno. Those who grasp its hilt are unable to escape its curse, as its spirit invades the mind like a parasite and drives its wielder insane. As its blade is soaked in blood it grows in power. Nightmare was originally created as the alter-ego of Siegfried Schtauffen, it has somehow formed an entirely new being, an avatar of darkness, instead of possessing a new host.

Nightmare is a violent and ruthless creature, constantly in search of souls to restore Soul Edge. He looks down on humans, considering them "pathetic", and has no mercy for others, even to those who serve him. He sides with Zexion for the prospect of unending battle, but has no real loyalty to the organization. All he really wants is a silent universe, with him in the center, glutted on all creations souls.

Nightmare retains several followers, the Golem Astaroth, the assassin Tira, and the Pirate Cervantes, but he also commands the hordes of the Unversed, that he simply sends in a tide to overwhelm his foes and weed out the weak. He kills the strongest himself, and drenches Soul Edge in their blood, growing in power as he does so.

Emperor Doviculus

Doviculus is the Demon Emperor. He is cruel, sadistic, and cunning. He does not hesitate to play his enemies against each other or wipe out a potentially dangerous foe when the chance is presented to him, and is dangerously manipulative. The emperor of the Tainted Coil is amoral like the vast majority of demons on every front. He is lustful to the point where he is sexually attracted to his own children, he is extremely proud, thinking humans as pitiful creatures to be treated as beasts. He is confident in his abilities, and he treats his subjects with a mix of affection and expendability, more like valuable tools than his children, peers, and lovers. He joined the organization out of ambition, and has never looked back, though it has occurred to him that things would be better if he was in charge.

His main tool of destruction is a two headed Staff Axe; and he has access to an insane Quadruple-Necked Electric Guitar, which he calls the 'Hydra'. By simple mathematics, it's four times as awesome as a normal guitar. He rips out hearts and keeps them in his chest, granting him the powers of those he vanquished in such a manner, however there is only enough room for five or six at a time. His own heart he keeps safe and secure, and he can't die as long as it is not found. He may also use magic by utilizing the secrets of the titans.

He commands his children, the Tainted Coil, an army of demons. He has no ability to command the Heartless or Nobodies, so primarily deals with worlds where they would somehow be unable to pose a sufficient threat.

Kain

Calling Kain a companion of the group is a stretch at best. Indeed, he has almost no contact with them, and is openly hostile when they do encounter each other. However, they have goals in common, and so he is on their side, or rather, they are on his. Kain is trying to use the heartless to conquer all the worlds, but he has no interest in simply destroying them. Rather, he sees the Heartless as a means to an end, so that his vampire brethren can return to their rightful place as rulers of the world, and so that he can return to his rightful place as ruler of the vampires.

Despite being one of the more intelligent and dangerous of the council, he is as unapologetic a monster as Kratos. He loves the slaughter, is incredibly arrogant and self-righteous, and is fully aware that he acts like a cruel, heartless bastard. Just the same, everything he does is calculated to benefit him and help him achieve his goals.

Kratos

Kratos is a very destructive, amoral, self-centered psychopath who has become, by degrees, incapable of any emotion beyond lust and extreme rage. His basic nature is that of violence, and this single-minded quality makes him extremely dangerous. He is half-divine, and these salient qualities along with his sheer brutality has allowed him to kill almost anything he is confronted with.

Unable to cope with his memories of his past, Kratos has done his best to avoid taking responsibility and come to terms with his sins. He wields the blades of Olympus, and is currently serving Hades, however it is most likely this will not continue for much longer.

He does not command anybody. He just destroys.

Lu Bu

Lu Bu is a warrior who wants to prove his strength to all. He lives for battle, and swore to the Heartless in exchange for the promise of unending war, against the greatest forces imaginable. He is an extremely aggressive, brutish, and bloodthirsty warrior who fights for the sole purpose of finding an opponent worthy of challenge, and so this suits him. A life of luxury occasionally broken by a battle, with all the wine, women and comfort even his prodigious appetites can consume. He has a rivalry with Kratos, that will likely come to blows in the near future.

More of a man of action than talk, he disregards strategy and politics as a waste of his time, and so passes beneath the schemes of the more powerful members. He does not desire control, merely war, where the strong survive and the weak are crushed. However, he does cultivate a certain ambition, and has considered treachery a number of times. Given the sort of man he is, it would seem inevitable. Bu is a rather honest, or at least direct, man, having little faith or respect in those who use deceptive words to gain power and hide like cowards behind others for their own protection. He particularly considers Zexion an arrogant pig and repulsive coward who is undeserving of his power and status, and only joined the Heartless because the pay was obscenely substantial.

In battle, he wields the Fangtian Huaji, a double voulge which can separate into two double edged spears, and rides Red Hare, his massive horse. He wears intricate black armor and a intricate twin pheasent-tail headpiece.

He commands an army of nobodies modeled after the forces he commanded as a man, and forces surviving defeated enemies to become part of it. However, he only grants this honor to the best, keeping his army a small, elite force. But, he has little patience commanding it, preferring the iron dice of battle, and delegates the task to his remaining followers, who continue to serve him, out of both loyalty and a mad desire to share his dream.

Ganondorf

Ganondorf was born a member of the Gerudo; as the only male member to be born in a hundred years, Ganondorf was given the title of King of the Gerudo. Gifted with powerful magic, Ganondorf sought the omniscient Triforce of power, which he eventually attained.

Ganondorf is an incarnation of pure evil, greed, and power. He is ruthless, cold, and calculating, seeing all others as either tools to be used or enemies to be destroyed. He is just as likely to reward a servant for a job well done as he is likely to kill them for speaking out of line. He is also shown to have an ego, believing that only he is worthy to rule and showing an arrogant sense of entitlement. He considers Zexion a fool, and as soon as he can will kill him and take over.

One of Ganondorf’s most defining traits is his unquenchable lust for power. Many of his actions are driven by his unending hunger to increase his dominion over the multiverse. He is a very good swordsman, and has considerable magic power, but he tends to favor the brute-force approach, simply over-powering his enemies. He can transform, and leads his Gerudo and armies of shadows, destabilizing worlds, then drawing them into his power.

Shuma-gorath

Although his true origins are unknown, Shuma-Gorath is a powerful and ancient demon of the highest order and possesses vast supernatural powers.

He is said to rule countless worlds, for he lives within the darkness and rules over those worlds that have had their hearts consumed, the remnants his possessions. However, his true motives and abilities are unknown, and possibly to even comprehend. How such a being came to even become aware of the council is a mystery.

Just the same, he seems willing to assist them in his own way, and help Xehanort pierce together and rebuild Kingdom Hearts. Indeed, it seems likely that in some way, he is responsible for Xehanort and his companions inexplicable return from the World of Darkness...

????

Not all the members of the organization are known at this time. Some remain mysteries, their powers, personalities and forces unknown.

Disney Villains:

Spoiler:
Maleficent

Maleficent is a fairy sorceress of frightening power. She tried to use the Heartless for her own evil ends, but the Heartless were actually using her. She has recently taken The World That Never Was as her headquarters, from which she is again working to bring her plans into fruition.

The Horned King

The Horned King is in great contrast with his fellows as he exhibits very few of their outwardly arrogant and narcissistic qualities, instead coming off as cold and very composed, showing no outward anger, fear or desire at all. He has no attachment to anyone, is willing to give anyone over to the Heartless if they do not in someway serve his immediate interests, and will do anything to achieve his goals. Despite all this, he exhibits a lust for power and an extreme God complex, and is feared by all those working with him, with good reason.

Chernabog

Chernabog is a massive, nocturnal, demon-like monster who works to no goal but exists only as an extension of the darkness. Chernabog is a dark god, the worst of the worst, who possesses fearsome powers and capabilities, and desires only destruction.

Hades

Hades is the Greek God of the Underworld, who desires to steal his brother Zeus's throne as ruler of Mount Olympus. These plans have been put on hold, however, in order to gain revenge on Hercules, the man who prevented his plans last time. He won't rest until he sends Hercules to the Underworld—for eternity. He is normally eccentric and cynical, but is very easily angered. He is smooth-talking and manipulative, but not as good at it as he'd like to be. He is, however, good at applying leverage.

Queen Grimhilde

A vain and jealous woman obsessed with her own perception of beauty, she is quite cruel, and shows no kindness to anyone, including her own servants. She is stern, proud, regel and haughty, and shows compassion towards none but herself.
A witch, she possesses considerable power, but requires foci to use it, rather then directly channeling it as a sorceress.

Jafar

Jafar is an amoral psychopath who will not hesitate to destroy anyone he perceives as a threat to his own sinister designs. He is a cool-headed schemer and adapt at gaining the trust of those around him, however he has an obsessive desire for power and sense of entitlement. He has no magic of his own, but is an expert alchemist and has a staff that grants him certain abilities. He also has plenty of useful knowledge he can apply to bring about what he desires.

Judge Claude Frollo

Frollo is the stern, prejudiced judge of Paris, in addition to being the archdecon responsible for ensuring the faith is upheld. Corrupt, he uses his power to carry out his personal vendettas and his own purposes while maintaing his own righteousness. He believes that everything he does is in the name of God. He has been radicalized to his cause for so long that he can no longer fathom the idea that he could commit immoral actions, or act in a way less then pure. His single-minded devotion to his cause and unflinching determination make him incredibly dangerous, as does his abilities with White Magic.

Dr Facilier

He is an evil bokor who plans to take over New Orleans then drag it into the darkness in order to pay back his debt to his 'Friends on the Other Side'. He has shown himself to be very smooth-talking and charismatic, as well as manipulative and cunning, allowing him to work his magic on people without them realizing what they are getting into. He uses Black Magic, predominately curses and hexes, and can command the Heartless, though it takes a toll on his heart that he is wary of paying.

Captain Hook

Captain James Hook acts as a menacing and cowardly villain, one who if frequently humiliated yet is still a very feared character. He is very murderous, and willing to turn to violence. Hook is extremely intelligent, and comes of as a black-hearted man who tried to put on airs and pretended to be a gentleman of good taste and style. Despite his considerable abilities as a swordsman, however, he has no magical abilities or way to command the heartless, and so ultimately depends on the others.

Pete

Once a humble steamboat captain, Pete turned to mischief-making until he got out of hand and was banished. Pete's personality has changed over the years, but one factor has always remained the same: Pete is up to no good. He'll take every advantage and use every dirty trick, but cry and moan every time the tables are turned. He's not above using dishonorable tactics and will face defeat like a coward. Something of a brawler, he's big and tough, though too much the coward to make it particularly telling.
He met Maleficent during his inter-dimensional exile and acts as her loyal servant. In return for his freedom, Pete became a commander in Maleficent's Heartless army, and traveled around many worlds building up more and more legions of Heartless to help her plot of universal domination

Final Fantasy Villains:
Spoiler:
Garland

A former knight of Cornelia, Garland has a direct and brutal personality with a love of war and conflict, to the point that battle dominates his entire character. Which is fitting, as he sees the cycle of battle to be his only purpose. He is a warrior beyond compare, and a mage of fearsome power, trapped in an endless cycle of dying and being reborn to fight again. Confident he will be reborn no matter how often he is struck down, he has come to love battle.

His motives are not precisely clear, as is his true connection to Chaos and his reasons for serving the demon are unknown, but his loyalty is beyond question, and seems well acquainted with the Corridors of Darkness. All that can be said for sure is that he is certainly a force to be feared and reckoned with.

Emperor Mateus

The Emperor of the Palamecian Empire, he is a sorcerer of terrible power and a schemer beyond compare with terrifying abilities of manipulation. He is capable of performing immensely powerful magic and has the knowledge of secrets any of his detractors would sell the tattered remnants of their soul to posses. With an iron fist, he will stop at nothing to achieve his objectives. Emperor is arrogant, but is also very intelligent and dangerous, quite capable of projecting any result he desires through unwitting pawns. He also seems to be a misanthrope, harboring a hatred of humanity. Somewhat conversely, he is always polite, never loses his temper or control of his emotions, and always seems calm and relaxed.

Unlike the other villains, he has little interest in destruction, and intends to rule everything, believing himself to be the only one intelligent and powerful enough to do so. He has no problem sharing power as long as they are aware of who is really in charge, and

Kefka

The insane sorcerer who, after gaining power beyond his ability to handle, became sadistic and nihilistic, losing the tattered remnants of his sanity, and leaving him loud, short-tempered, maniacal, flamboyant, destructive, and cruel, with a sociopathic hatred of virtually everything in existence. He has no regard for human life, and he, in fact, finds amusement in the suffering and death of others. He tends to crack dark jokes at times, also sometimes breaking out into hysterical laughter upon causing death, destruction, and mayhem.

However, he is more together then he appears, and one underestimates him at their risk.

ExDeath

The warlock was born from a mass of evil spirits sealed in a tree that became sentient. He controls the power of the Void. He wishes to absorb everything into nothingness, even himself, so that nothing at all exists anymore. Exdeath shows no empathy for the slaughter of his minions, even thinning out his own lines. He is also incapable of understanding positive human emotions, such as love. He is not proactive, due to his belief that everything will eventually come to an end and return to the Void, no matter what.

Little else is known, beyond his fearsome power, and his connection to the nobodies. Indeed, it seems likely he was their creator...

Ultimecia

An incredibly powerful sorceress who controls time. He long-term goals are the domination of everything, compressing time in order to create a world where past, present and future would become one. Through entering their minds and forcibly imposing her own will upon them, Ultimecia can effectively turn people into vessels for her to either exist within or simply control externally. Not least, she possesses a keen strategic and diplomatic mind

Jecht

Jecht is a tall, muscular man, with a tendency to drink heavily, and wields a large black sword in battle. He was one of High Summoner Braska's legendary Guardians, but since the birth of his son moved to Destiny Islands. He was also a famed blitzball player and looked on with hero worship by most of the children who lived in Destiny Islands. On the surface, Jecht is a surly and arrogant man, but despite his numerous flaws, Jecht is a good man at heart.
He became the Final Aeon that defeated Sin, but eventually became Sin as an immediate consequence.

Other
Spoiler:
?????

What is this, from where did it came, and why does Mickey have a terrible feeling of having encountered it before? Could this be the nightmare? Or is it something else entirely.

?????

Despite his monstrous appearance and position as the God of Discord, Chaos is no mere unthinking brute, but rather a being of sophistication and inteligence, who exists to unballence and sow change. He demonstrates a calm, collected and reasoned demeanor, speaking in an even tone of voice even to his enemies. Despite being largely neutral, many evil beings see him as their patron, which he neither encourages nor tries to avoid.

Any of those would be fine, though given the little interest I don't think we have much hope of actually doing it.

Yes I did. I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit when it comes to antagonists, but it matters not. Anyway, I'll get rid of the limit on number of characters since we don't have many players.

And the Point Man is approved.

Re: Kingdom Hearts: To the Bitter End

I've been thinking about how to do this game, actually.

First up, it will be a big game. Each of the bosses will have mini bosses, sidekicks,, minions and their own personal plans which will have to be thwarted individually. This will be a big game, and it will take place over several worlds. Mysteries will emerge, and I might even do mysteries or problem solving games. There will be roleplaying beyond just fighting the antagonists, and the badguys, who are all part of factions who have different ideas of how they should use the power at their fingertips, will bicker and politic.
In short, don't sign up if you don't want to play a big game.

Second, I've been considering the idea of, rather then have you all adventure in a bid group, have everyone split into their own, self-contained group (yes, there will be plenty of room for interaction). My reasons for this is really only a single one, but thematically important: a considerable part of Kingdom Hearts is the power of friendship, and it seems to me that if we're playing multiple characters individual parties might work better.

If we go with that, I'd suggest Power Trios, or five men bands. If we don't, well then it's a non-issue.

Furthermore, we will need keyblade wielders. Son Son looks like he would make a good one (as long as he's not actually Son Wukong. That might be a little too much), but the more the merrier.

Sounds good, dude. And Son Son is Wukong's daughter actually. She has the same powers as her father, just weaker.

Five Man Band:
Well, I have a few characters I'd like to play. I'd love to do either Cloud Strife or Vincent Valentine, I'm doing Zhou Yu, I'll take a key-blade wielder, and then I have problems.
Maybe the Nameless One and some annoying sidekick?

Re: Kingdom Hearts: To the Bitter End

Five Man Band:

The Leader

Name: Terra
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Appearance: Terra is a tall young man with brown hair that reaches to the base of his neck in the back in rather messy, vertical spikes and bangs. He has blue eyes and slightly tanned skin.
He wears two intersecting straps over his chest, almost resembling criss-crossed suspenders. He wears a skintight, black, high-collared shirt, showing that he is rather muscular. Terra's pants bear a distinct feudal Japanese style; his belt is tied like an obi-sash and he wears hakama, dark grey near the top, with several loops for his belt and two buttons, both of which are undone. Terra wears a plain black wristband on his right arm, while his left arm is significantly more armored.
Terra's armor consists of a large, ornate crest and long, segmented section, each segment alternating between dark grey and dark red, reaching all the way to the bottom of his hand. He also wears a black, fingerless glove on his hand and what appears to be a black gauntlet on his forearm, over the segmented armor, which also has small pieces of dark red armor on it. Finally, his armored boots are dark brown and gold.
Personality: Though he is aware of the darkness in his heart, Terra refuses to accept it. While not gullible, Terra can be overly trusting, and is somewhat easy to manipulate. Terra's calm and cool exterior hides a passionate heart, but he strives to control his emotions.
He also holds his companions in high regard, seeing Zhou Yu as a teacher and Nameless as a surrogate father in many ways. Even Vincent, who he is intimidated by, he holds very close.
Bio: Terra spends his days as a Keyblade apprentice training under Master Eraqus at the Land of Departure along with his friend, Aqua. Terra's long-time dream was to be a Keyblade master like Eraqus.
Powers/Abilities: As a Keyblade master, he can travel from world to world and unlock or remove the darkness in the hearts of others. He uses slow, but heavy physical strikes to wear his enemies down. On top of that, he has access to both a variety of magical spells as well. His affinity for Earth lets him use the powerful Quake and Meteor spells, and he also makes use of dark powers such as the Dark Firaga spell used later in the series by Riku's Dark Mode, the Dark Volley Shotlock, and the Chaos Blade attack.
Equipment:By touching the armor piece on his arm, Terra will become fully encased in armor, mostly in shades of dark brown, gold, and red. He wields a keyblade.
Motivation: Stop the Heartless at all costs, prove he is worthy for the key and, more to the point, defeat the darkness in his own heart.

The Lancer

Name: Vincent Valentine.
Age: 27 (physically), 61 (chronologically)
Gender: Male
Appearance: Vincent is a man physically in his late 20s, and stands roughly six feet tall. He has crimson eyes and long black hair in a wild mane. Vincent's most distinctive feature is his tattered red cape, held in place over his shoulders and lower face by several buckles. Underneath his cape, Vincent's attire is black with more straps and buckles. He wears a holster for his gun against his right leg, and pointed metallic boots. He also wears a golden gauntlet on his left arm.
Personality: Dark and brooding over his past "sins", Vincent carries many burdens and secrets. Despite his cold personality, he is not uncaring. Vincent is reluctant to speak, although when he does, he typically has something very important to say.
Vincent is naturally a loner, but by the same token is unable to distance himself from the world, and needs a cause to fight for in order to feel his life has any meaning.
Bio: Vincent was once a member of the Turks, which was then known as Shinra's "Department of Administrative Research". He was partly responsible for the birth of Sephiroth, and holds himself responsible for what occurred afterward.
Powers/Abilities: An expert shot, accomplished martial artist, and a very powerful magic user.
Equipment: His weapon of choice is the Cerberus, a three-barreled revolver. Vincent also owns two other guns. One, a bolt-action rifle, is christened the "Hydra." The other, the "Griffon," resembles a Thompson machine gun.
Motivation: Has not yet become clear.

The Smart Guy

Name: Zhou Yu
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Appearance: Has delicate, almost feminine features, a slim, narrow wasted build with deceptively wide shoulders, and an attitude of grace and calm. He seems to radiate a quiet serenity. He wears red robes, with little armor as it impedes his movement.
Personality: Calm and rational, Zhou Yu is a wise and experienced expert of strategy who is capable of seeing through most of his enemies' ploys. He is a patient, collected, and diligent individual, and he never raises his voice. He treats his allies with modest professionalism and genuine respect, and is always sincere. His devotion to his homeland and people is unquestionable. In order to best serve them, he strives to only take calculated risks.
Zhou Yu generally acts as the voice of reason in any group.
Bio: In Dynasty Warriors 5, he is a warrior who comes from a prestigious family and is known for his good looks and musical talent. He joins the alliance against Dong Zhuo at Si Shui Gate with Sun Jian. Huang Zu falls soon after and the Wu kingdom is greatly expanded. In due time, Wu clashes with Wei at Chi Bi and deliver a resounding blow to Cao Cao's army. Surviving the conflict, he swears to uphold Sun Ce's dream of conquest.
Powers/Abilities: A truly magnificent swordsman and martial artist in addition to his skill in strategy. An incredibly gifted musician, he has particular skill with the flute. He can perform a sword dance, and is a strategist of considerable renown, though his rival is better then him.
Equipment: The gǔdìng dāo, his barrier sword. He wears formal red robes, as befitting his station as the formost strategist of Wu.
Motivation: Find his blood brother, Sun Ce, and his wife, Xiao Qiao, and rescue them by any means necessary. This is an all-consuming need, although he also intends to protect the Land of Dragons.

The Mentor

Name: None. Goes by Nameless One.
Age: The being now known only as The Nameless One is one of the closest things the multiverse has to a true immortal. Precisely how long he has lived or how many reincarnations he has had is unknown, but judging from some of the contacts he has made (Lum the Mad, among others) he is probably at least several thousand years old, and a former "incarnation" notes that he has died several thousand times.
Gender: Male in all his incarnations.
Appearance: Dry leathery skin, scar tissue and dreadlocks decorated with silver bands, and has thick, primeval features with a heavy jaw and brow. He is lean, spare and feral looking, and dresses in rags and yellowed bones of strange, demonic creatures. He is positively bristling with knives, and his armor is made of spines and rib cages.
Personality: Varies from incarnation to incarnation. In this life, he is intelligent, erudite, monosyllabic and cynically pragmatic beyond practicality, however he may change due to a number of reasons.
Bio: His place of birth and early history have been lost, but at some point he committed a horrible crime. The precise nature of this crime is never expressed directly, though it was clearly severe enough to damn his soul even if he spent the rest of his life doing nothing but good.
You are nameless. You awoke on a slab in the Mortuary in Sigil, covered in scars and tattoos, your memory gone. Who has done this to you, and why? You don't know... yet. But you're going to find out.
Other: "What can change the nature of a man?"
Powers/Abilities: Immortality, however his every rebirth causes the death of some random soul in the universe. Considerable expertise in almost every imaginable field.
Equipment: He has no equipment unique to him, he simply uses whatever is appropriate to the situation.
Motivation: Learn his past, change his nature, and stop the spread of darkness. In that order.

Team Pet

Name: Meta Knight (Sir, or Lord)
Age: Unknown, and impossible to verify in a meaningful way.
Gender: ????
Appearance: Meta Knight appears as a blue, roundish creature, with big feet without legs. His most prominent feature is a heavy silver mask, which makes his eyes glow in a bright yellow. He also wears purple shoes, metal shoulder base plates, and a purple cape which he can transform into two large bat wings. He is always seen with his trademark sword, the Galaxia.
Personality: Meta Knight has a very honorable and soldier-like personality. He cannot stand people who don’t have common sense, and despises laziness. Meta Knight is very well known for following a stern warrior codex that defines most of his actions.
Meta Knight is what can be described as a passionate swordsman, and a well-intended extremist. He features a quite combative personality, and is constantly striving to be the best sword fighter of the universe.
Bio: Unknown. And what is, is more a tantalizing hint then anything useful, and furthermore contradicts what other information would seem to suggest.
All that is known is he is a member of an organization of warriors and once fought with 'the nightmare'.
Other: "Unlimited power in your blade. Command your called knight. Train and journey the cosmos!"
Powers/Abilities: He can use his equipment to excellent effect, he seems to have a better idea of what's going on then anyone else, and he is a very skilled fighter despite his appearence. Furthermore, using the powers of his sword he is capable of some devestating moves.
Equipment: Meta Knight wields a godlike power sword, The Galaxia, which is seemingly made out of gold, with small spikes coming off of the edge of it and a ruby embedded in the handle.
Meta Knight's cape is a powerful weapon in its own respect, The Dimensional Cape, that lets Meta Knight transcend space itself by wrapping himself inside it and teleporting away. He can also use it to form wings, and more 'otherworldly' powers.
He wears a mask that makes his eyes appear to glow yellow, and armor, consisting of boots, gloves and pauldrons.
He is the leader of an army of soldiers apparently known as the Meta-Knights, and owns a large airship called the Battleship Halberd. However, there is no sign of his army, and it is believed they all died fighting the Heartless.
Motivation: His intentions are often unknown. He's mysterious and enigmatic, even to his team-mates, dissapearing for days then reappearing with no explanation. He seems to want to help them, however.

Looks good Draxx. Although they all seem to be quiet, reserved stoics, don't they?

SeanHiruki wrote:

Which ones (there are a lot of them)? Now there are the ones he was born with as a greater spirit, the ones he gained by studying magic and martial arts, the ones he gained from eating (after stealing) the immortality pills and emperor's peaches, the ones from heavens many failed attempts to try to kill him, the ones from being fed the bones of the earth and molten copper while he was trapped under a mountain, or the ones that he gained from joining in on the journey?

Sonson can transform into a gigantic fire-breathing ape, float on clouds, create tiny copies of herself, pummel people with her size-changing bo staff and cook up her enemies in a stew.
And that is about it

Ah. I can deal with that.
I was worried there would be 72 transformations, strength enough to crush moons in his hands, enlightenment, immortality to outlast the stars and heaven itself, indestructibility, martial arts skills sufficient to take on three Gods of war at once, and all the rest.
That's a relief, I can tell you.

Lol, nah. She is young (Compared to Wukong) so she does not know all that her father knows. With the exception of comedy

Well, Wukong is pure comedy gold. Even in the original. Actually, if you want, and because it might be cool, she can have the power to summon her daddy, but only once. You know, like those two awesome to use gear you sometimes get.
Well this all looks good. Just put up the character sheets then.

The Point Man: Enough experience with psychic powers to make a man weep in terror for the rest of his life, peak human ability, great skill with firearms, and reflexes 5x faster than human norm.

Arsenal of the Point Man:
 • 4 Fragmentation Grenades
 • 2 ATC-14 Pistols
 • 1 HV Penetrator 10mm flechette weapon
 • 1 Type-7 Particle Weapon

Jack Ryan: A mild amount of superhuman strength(~1 ton), skill with firearms, and abilities derived from plasmid bioengineering. Additionally, is vulnerable to mind control.

Arsenal of Jack Ryan(chosen from some of his in-game weapons):

 • Heavily modified revolver
 • Heavily modified shotgun with explosive, lightning, and buckshot rounds
 • A Wrench
 • Improvised Grenade Launcher-shoots RPGs, Mines, and tin-can based grenades

Jack Ryan's Plasmid Abilities:

 • Telekinesis-theoretically capable of stopping bullets; however, human reaction time means one can't
 • Electro Bolt-A bolt of lightning, similar to a taser
 • Incinerate-sets things on fire. Fairly straightforward
 • Cyclone Trap-creates traps that fling opponents into the air.
 • Insect Swarm-creates a swarm of bees that attack all enemies within an area

Pictures and links aren't working, but that's all good and reasnoble.

Now, both are approved, obviously, but you might want to consider tossing in a keyblade master or something, so as to be able to travel between worlds freely and seal the keyholes yourself. And you might want someone capable of magic, though I understand if you don't. If you need advice on where to look for one, I recomend final fantasy.

I'll make some further changes to the setting, for instance Traverse Town is now melded with Sigil (!) thanks to Nameless One.

I've never played Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy, though; I'm hoping that both of them can join up with some other group.

I'll bring up their personalities and backstories later(I'll have to pick an ending for Bioshock, and the Point Man is tabula rasa).

Well then, I could either put you with some NPC's, or you could do as you say and join them up with another group.
